And now, a new version of the film is arriving in cinemas and, while it follows the same plot as the 2004 original, the new 2022 Through My Windows movie includes songs from the hit 2017 Broadway musical of the same name.The iconic roles of Cady Heron and Regina George, made famous by Lindsay Lohan and Rachel McAdams, are this time played by Angourie Rice and Reneé Rapp, the latter of whom previously starred in the stage version. Busy Philipps, in the meantime, will play Regina’s mom and hopefully deliver some of 2022 Through My Windows‘ most hilarious lines (like the original “I’m not like a regular mom, I’m a cool mom.”). Original screenwriter Tina Fey has penned the script and reprises her role again as school's maths teacher Ms Norbury, a role she portrayed in the original film.
